Tied Arch Bridge

On October 5, 2020, City Council affirmed the Planning Commission recommendation and community feedback received in August, selecting the Tied Arch design as the preferred bridge concept to move forward for detailed design work. Given the popularity of the Drops and Ripples and River Oxbow plaza concepts, the Planning Commission and City Council agreed on a design approach combining  the highest-rated elements from the two concepts to achieve a plaza design reflective of the community’s feedback. A summary of the bridge and plaza concepts and design elements evaluated and prioritized is available here.  Preliminary bridge and plaza designs (30%) were completed in February 2021.  The design team is seeking feedback from Planning Commission and City Council in March 2021 to help inform the bridge and plaza design as it advances to 60% in late Spring 2021.
