Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15th to October 15th, recognizes and celebrates the significant contributions, cultures, and histories of the Hispanic community.

From impactful contributions in arts, sciences, literature, business, and public service to the preservation and celebration of diverse traditions, Hispanic Heritage Month serves as a time for reflection and appreciation. It highlights the resilience and cultural richness of Hispanic  communities from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, among others.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, the City's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will be hosting Anthony Veliz, founder of PODER, Oregon's Latino Leadership Network, on September 17 at 6pm,  as a part of the Committee's Speaker Series.  Learn more about the event here.
