Disability Pride Month

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to honor the history, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities. This celebration began in 1990, the same year the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law, marking a significant milestone in the fight for disability rights and equality. Disability Pride Month not only commemorates this historic event but also promotes awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
