Library Begins Limited Re-Entry Hours on Tuesday
June 22, 2020 — In accordance with public health guidance from the State of Oregon, the Wilsonville Library is accommodating public re-entry on Tuesday, June 23, for limited hours five days a week.
Initially, the Library is offering only pick-up of held items and additional assistance from librarians. Over time, additional services are to be added as they can be provided safely, including computer access, shelf browsing and access to study/meeting rooms.
Library usage is being limited to the following hours:
- Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday: 10am-4pm
- Wednesday: 2-8pm
- Sunday and Monday: closed to public
The Library is implementing a few new measures for the safety of visitors and staff, including:
- A requirement that face coverings be worn inside the building.
- Limited building capacity.
- Physical distancing of all visitors and staff.
- A three-day quarantine of all returned items.
During the public closure, some additional safety measures were put in place. The holds shelves have moved to the big picture window in the magazine reading area, sneeze guards have been installed at the circulation and reference desks, and floor decals are in place to help enforce physical distancing.
Library programming remains available virtually on the City’s YouTube channel for all ages. Online services include additional digital options for books and learning.
While due dates for all materials were extended, the Library asks members with outstanding items to return those so that others may begin checking them out.
