City Seeks Volunteer Haulers for Community Clean-Up
Residents May Sign Up to Have Woody Yard Debris Picked Up on Sunday
February 17, 2021 — The City of Wilsonville is coordinating a Community Clean-Up Day on Sunday, Feb. 21. Interested volunteers will be dispatched to assist residents who don’t have the hauling capacity to remove trees, limbs and woody debris from their property.
For this one-time event, the City is soliciting volunteers with hauling capacity. Volunteers are being sent only by request, and are only able to remove debris piles that are organized and placed at the property’s edge.
Need a Hand: Submit Your Address by Saturday Evening
Residents requesting assistance to remove tree debris must simply complete the following steps.
- Use link below to request debris pickup by Saturday at 4 pm (available to Wilsonville residents only).
- Gather your debris in one location at the edge of your property line before 8:30 am on Sunday morning to facilitate efficient removal.
Residents do not need to be present, and those who are able to help load debris must wear a mask while interacting with volunteers.
Lend a Hand: Haulers Needed on Sunday Morning
Volunteers who have access to trucks/trailers and who are willing to lift and haul woody debris are asked to convene at the City Hall parking lot on Sunday at 8:30 am. Each volunteer will be dispatched with a list of addresses at which to provide assistance. Haulers will loading all curbside debris and dropping it off at the City’s tree debris drop-off location at the Wilsonville Transit Center Haulers must be masked during check-in, and when picking up and dropping of debris. No sign-up is required.
The Transit Center drop-off spot, accessible from Barber St. (between Kinsman Rd. and Boberg Rd.) is open to all residents daily, 8 am-5 pm, until Feb. 25. Proof of residence (ID with Wilsonville address, utility bill) is required.
