City Hosts March Events to Develop Wildlife Garden Habitat, Celebrate Town Center Plan

February 28, 2019 — The City of Wilsonville is pleased to host two special community events in March; admission is free and no pre-registration is required for either event.

Wildlife Garden Workshop
Saturday, March 9, 10:30 am-12:30 pm, Wilsonville Library (Oak Room)

This two-hour session with local gardening experts provides an opportunity for people to learn a few valuable habitat-building tips in order to begin creating their own pollinator and wildlife gardens. Attendees can take home a native plant and learn more about habitat development from representatives of the Backyard Habitat Certification Program and Xerces Society.

Town Center Plan Showcase
Wednesday, March 13, 5-6 pm, City Hall

Just before the community-driven Wilsonville Town Center Plan is scheduled for public hearing before the City’s Planning Commission (at 6 pm), Town Center planners are hosting a showcase event to celebrate a plan nearly two years in the making. Talk to planners, enjoy light refreshments and view a gallery of images from public outreach events that informed this critical plan, which guides strategic long-term development of a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood in the heart of Wilsonville. Guests are invited to stay for the Planning Commission meeting to support the plan or learn more.
