City Council Reviews Town Center Plan History, Establishes Plan to Identify Next City Manager

March 4, 2025 — The March 3, 2025, meeting of the Wilsonville City Council included a work session only; no public meeting was held.

During that session, the City’s Community Development staff provided the new Council with a deep dive on the history of the Wilsonville Town Center Plan, which was adopted by the City Council in 2019 to guide new development within and adjacent the Town Center Loop over the next 40 years.

Staff answered questions from the City Council about the Plan, detailed the extensive two-year public outreach effort that informed the Plan, and summarized traffic impacts, economic development considerations, parking, State and Metro guidelines, and other details to give the Council a full picture of the Plan in advance of the Council’s two-day goal setting session on March 14-15.

Additionally, Human Resources staff sought the Council’s direction to develop the recruitment strategy that will be used to identify, hire, and onboard a successor to retiring City Manager Bryan Cosgrove. The process is likely to take several months, including time to request and review proposals from qualified executive search firms.

The next meeting of the City Council takes place on Monday, March 17, at 7 pm. A 5 pm work session is scheduled to precede the meeting. Both are open to the public.

Community members can watch all City Council meetings on cable (Xfinity Ch. 30, Ziply Ch. 32) or online via the City’s YouTube channel: ci.wilsonville.or.us/WilsonvilleTV.
