Boeckman Interceptor and Trail Project Open House

Calendar Date:
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

community members looking at project designs

For the past year, the City has been busy collecting data to help shape the design of the long-planned Boeckman Creek Interceptor and Trail Project. Through survey work and field studies, including tree inventory and a geotechnical analysis of the Boeckman Creek corridor, the project gathered necessary information to begin the design of the sewer interceptor pipeline, access road, and trail.

The Boeckman Creek Interceptor and Trail Project increases the City's sewer capacity to support development of Frog Pond East and South neighborhoods, provides access for crews to clean and maintain sewer pipes, and adds a long-envisioned regional trail link that connects Boeckman Rd. to Memorial Park, enabling people to safely walk, run and bicycle along the connected trail system. Completing these capital projects together minimizes cost as well as time and impacts of construction for the community's benefit.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, the City is hosting an open house to share design progress, gather input from community members, and review the anticipated project timeline. Community members are invited to join any time between 5-7pm. Light refreshments will be served.
