National Night Out

Young cyclists join Wilsonville Police and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue on parade route.

National Night Out (NNO) is a national public safety initiative developed to build trust and camaraderie among local emergency responders and the communities they serve.

On the first Tuesday in August, millions take part in National Night Out activities in all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other community events that include safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from law enforcement, exhibits and more.

Wilsonville supports National Night Out as a great way to build community. Each year, representatives from Wilsonville Police Department and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue visit local NNO gatherings to mingle and help make our neighborhoods more caring and connected places to live.

Consider hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. We will work with WPD and TVF&R to schedule visits between 5-9 pm.

Submit the form below by Friday, July 26, to request your visit. You will receive a confirmation on/by Monday, July 29. If demand is high, a waiting list may be established. With questions, please contact Bill Evans, 503-570-1502 or evans@ci.wilsonville.or.us.
