Recreation is Abundant Here

The City of Wilsonville’s Parks and Recreation Department coordinates senior programs, adult and youth programs, and special events, with a focus on promoting healthy and active life styles for individuals of all ages. 

The department operates a Community Center, several picnic shelters, the historic Stein-Boozier Barn, skate park, dog park, baseball/soccer fields, tennis/pickleball courts, water features, a community garden, and all City parks.

Parks

The City owns and maintains nearly 200 acres of park land: Memorial Park, the largest park, includes a skate park, tennis courts and baseball/soccer fields.

Murase Plaza is a favorite in the community, its water features, multiple picnic areas, children’s playground, and renovated Stein-Boozier Barn make it a popular location.

Water Park

Town Center Park also has a popular water feature and is home to the distinguished Korean War Memorial.  Town Center Park hosts some of the City's major summertime events, including the Rotary's Summer Concert Series, the Wilsonville Festival of Arts, and Fun in the Park.

Willamette River

Willamette River Recreation

Memorial Park is on the north shore of the Willamette River, while the Charbonneau District lies directly across the river to the south. Boones Ferry Park is located on the Willamette River, and includes the historic Tauchman House.  Boones Ferry Road ends at the Willamette River adjacent to the park, and there is river access via a small, rocky path.The Willamette River lies literally at our back door and offers boating, fishing, water skiing, kayaking and canoeing opportunities.

Natural and Open Spaces

Wilsonville residents enjoy a wealth and abundance of natural resources and the City takes a pro-active role in protecting and restoring natural areas. Graham Oaks Nature Park, next to the Coffee Lake Wetlands, was designed to bolster habitat essential to our ecological survival. This beautiful area is managed in its natural state and offers walking, biking or wildlife watching opportunities.

Those that enjoy golf can take advantage of the nearby Charbonneau Golf Club (in Wilsonville) or the Langdon Farms Golf Club (2 miles south) or the Sandalie Golf Course (5 miles east).

Cycling

Residents who enjoy cycling will find that Wilsonville is a great location for exploring wine country and the Willamette Valley, or stay local and use the City's trails and on-street bike lanes for transportation and recreation. The city is also home to the annual Salmon Cycling Classic event.

Adventures on Horseback

Equestrians have access to a number of nearby horse farms and stables.  Wilsonville is at the hub of hunter jumper territory.
