City Grant Programs Allocate More Than $30,000 to Support Local Programs and Events

June 5, 2024 — Through its two annual grant programs, the City of Wilsonville recently awarded more than $30,000 in funding to support local programs, events and attractions that bring the community together and attract visitors to Wilsonville.

Each year, the Community Cultural Events and Programs (CCEP) Grant provides up to $25,000 from the City’s general fund to spark participation in local cultural programming.  The program supports local non-profits in the development of projects, programs, and/or events that promote arts, culture, history and heritage as well as local festivals and community events.

The following CCEP Grant allocations were recommended by the Arts, Culture and Heritage Commission and approved by the City Council:

• Wilsonville Rotary Foundation, $7,000 to support the 2024 Summer Concert Series
• Wilsonville STAGE, $4,300 for marketing assistance and community awareness
• The Charbonneau Arts Association, $3,500 for assistance in marketing an expanded Arts & Music Festival
• Wilsonville Choral Arts Society, $1,000 for program marketing and advertising

The next submission deadline for CCEP Grant proposals is Friday, Nov. 15.

The Community Opportunity Grant program provides up to $25,000 each year from the City’s general fund to support projects and services that promote education, diversity, arts, or community involvement within Wilsonville.

The following allocations were made in May by the City’s Parks & Recreation Board:

• Wilsonville Little League (Instagram), $10,000 to fund dugout enhancements at Wood Middle School, a project to be undertaken by Wilsonville Little League in partnership with a local Eagle Scout
• Wilsonville Skatepark Association (Instagram), $3,000 to support Skate Jam 2024, which takes place Aug. 24, 1-3pm at the Memorial Park Skatepark
• Charbonneau Country Club (website), $ 2,257 to support the purchase of new radios to upgrade the community’s emergency radio network

The next deadline for Opportunity grant submissions is Friday, September 20.
