Aerial of Wilsonville

The City of Wilsonville is undertaking an Economic Development Strategy during 2012 to better hone public policies on business recruitment and retention/expansion.

The City of Wilsonville is a vibrant livable community that encourages sustained economic growth and diversity. Sustained economic growth provides sufficient incomes for the local labor force, profitable business opportunities for employers, and tax revenues for maintaining an infrastructure to support this continued growth.

Livable communities are places where families are safe, healthy and economically secure; a place where synergy is created between safety, sustainability, creative use of resources, choice and participation from all citizens not just the economically privileged or politically active. The city recognizes that citizen participation - across ethnic, income, and age groups - adds real value as together we seek to find solutions to enhance the livability of our great community.

Keeping our city livable and economically strong in the years ahead will require living and doing business in a way that is good for the economy, the environment and for the community. It is a collaborative effort in partnership with our citizens, our businesses, and our Chamber of Commerce, to achieve broad-based prosperity by equalizing opportunity and stimulating business activity in neighborhoods throughout the city.
