Low Impact Development (LID) principles and practices will be explored in the development of the master plan update. The primary stormwater management objective for LID is to replicate the pre-development hydrologic regime of watersheds through infiltrating, filtering, storing, evaporating and detaining runoff close to its source. Villebois includes a number of LID principles and practices. The Public Works Standards will be revised to recognize the use of LID practices for stormwater management, subject to approval by the City Council.

Staff expects to complete the update to the Stormwater Master Plan by Spring of 2009, which will include public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council.

If you have any questions about the update, please contact Kerry Rappold, Natural Resources Program Manager, at 503-570-1570 or rappold@ci.wilsonville.or.us.
