Republic Services of Washington and Clackamas Counties is conducting a re-route of commercial businesses front-load routes for solid waste and recycling collection services. This is the first time in 20 years that the company has conducted a re-route of this area, which will improve the efficiciency of collection services. The scope of this re-route affects nearly 1500 individual retail stores, restaurants, schools and apartments in the city of Wilsonville and surrounding area. These businesses may be affected indirectly with time-of-service-day changes with about 155 in Wilsonville directly affected with service-day changes. The purpose of this change in routes is to better prepare for the continuing growth occurring in Wilsonville and to make fewer major changes in response to future growth. With this change we hope to have more predictable service times, a more responsive reaction to customer needs, and a reduced workload for our drivers.Summary of changes that accompany the re-routing of commercial solid-waste and recycling collection:
