The City of Wilsonville is releasing the Wilsonville Area Events Summer 2017 poster, which is being distributed to all residences and businesses in Wilsonville as an insert in the June issue of the City’s Boones Ferry Messenger newsletter and is also available at City Hall, Wilsonville Public Library, Wilsonville Community Center and the Parks and Recreation Administration Building in Town Center Park.
The double-sided poster features events for all ages covering June, July and August in Wilsonville and the surrounding area with local-area events on one side and events at the Wilsonville Public Library on the other. Major summer events in town featured on the poster include:
In addition to the one-time events the poster also helps promote on-going summer events such as the City’s water features in Memorial Park’s Murase Plaza and also in Town Center Park that open Thursday, June 1, through Sunday, September 17; and the Wilsonville Farmers Market that takes place every Thursday, 4–8 pm, until Sept. 28, Sophia Park in Wilsonville’s Villebois neighborhood. The poster also features other prominent events near Wilsonville, such as the Country Classic hunter-jumper equestrian shows, St. Paul Rodeo and Aurora Colony Days.
This year another fun event in Wilsonville is the Community Health Fair, which is taking place on Saturday, July 15, 9 am–1 pm, at Town Center Park, 29600 SW Park Place, that features local health and wellness vendors, healthy cooking demonstrations, fun activities, free kids bike helmets from Legacy Health and the Oregon Trial Lawyers (while supplies last) and much more!
Mayor Time Knapp states, “I hope to see you at many of the summertime traditions that make our town special.”
