The City of Wilsonville is seeking grant applications for the Community Opportunity Grant program to support local organizations and individuals who produce programs, projects or services that further educational, art or community leadership; encourage and promote diversity; foster advances in education, art or community leadership; or involve young people or the elderly in community activities.
A total of $25,000 in grant funding is awarded annually during two different application cycles with $12,500 available during each cycle. Grant applications are due on Friday, September 25, 2015, and Friday, March 4, 2016 by 5:00 p.m. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is responsible for reviewing and selecting grant recipients.
Last spring’s grant recipients included: Wilsonville Sister City Association ($4,200), Wilsonville Farmers Market ($2,800), Korean War Memorial Foundation of Oregon ($2,800), Wilsonville Community Sharing ($2,300), Jr. Scoop Club at Wood Middle School ($1,800) and Colton Holly Memorial Scholarship Fund ($1,100).
