Town Center Design Workshop

Monday, June 26, 2017

Join us on June 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Clackamas Community College for a family-friendly, bilingual public Design Workshop featuring the Wilsonville Town Center Plan.

Along with the community, we will be working together through interactive design exercises to develop land use and transportation alternatives for future Town Center development. Participants will have the opportunity to weigh in on ideas for transportation, public spaces, housing, key areas for improvement, economic development, public safety and community engagement. Bring your kids, this is a great event for everyone! Light refreshments will be provided.

TOWN CENTER TASK FORCE

The purpose of the Task Force is to serve in an advisory role to the City of Wilsonville for the Wilsonville Town Center Plan (Plan) project. The Plan will identify a community vision, goals and strategies that will establish a clear path forward to advancing the vision. The strategies may include new projects, programs, partnerships or policies that create a cohesive, unified district that enhances existing assets in the area and sets the stage for new development. Public input and ongoing involvement will be foundational to the success of the Plan.

Town Center Master Plan Task Force Agendas and Meeting minutes can be accessed  HERE

Public Comment will not be received at the Wilsonville Town Center Plan (the Plan) Task Force Meetings. The Task Force will provide guidance, recommendations, and feedback on project deliverables to staff, which will provide information and analysis regarding the Plan to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission serves as the City’s official Committee for Citizen Involvement and will make recommendations to the City Council regarding the Plan. Members of the public wishing to comment on the discussion or materials reviewed by the Task Force may do so at any meeting held by the Planning Commission. Public comment received at Planning Commission will be recorded and included as part of the public record for the Plan.

Community Kick-Off Event

The Town Center Plan is a community-driven project that will guide development within the heart of the City for years to come.  The City of Wilsonville hosted an event on February 28, 2017 for the community to kick-off the upcoming Wilsonville Town Center Plan.  Business owners, residents, property owners, families and other interested parties participated in the evening's activities.  Their thoughts on what they would like to see in the Town Center were shared and are available for viewing on the project website www.wilsonvilletowncenter.com

Overview

The Wilsonville Town Center Plan is a long-range plan for how the Town Center area can better serve the interests and needs of residents, visitors, businesses and local employees. The approximate 100-acre project area encompasses the properties north of Wilsonville Road, within and adjacent to Town Center Loop, including Town Center shopping center, Fry’s Electronics, and Regal Cinemas Theater. The plan seeks to develop strategies for how the Town Center area can evolve into a more attractive, commercially vibrant, mixed-use district that is easily accessible.
