Water Treatment Plant Master Plan Hearing Cancellation
The Water Treatment Plant 2015 Master Plan Update has been withdrawn and a hearing will not be held on February 8, 2017. Based on preliminary comments from the Planning Commission, City staff have decided to postpone a hearing on the 2015 Master Plan Update until such time as a more targeted document can be prepared that focuses directly on Wilsonville facilities.
The 2015 Master Plan Update is a joint project of six participating entities (Tualatin Valley Water District and the Cities of Wilsonville, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Beaverton, and Tigard) and the information presented in the document is targeted primarily on the water delivery needs, design criteria, and siting for future water treatment facilities to serve those other entities. While the document does address and evaluate near to mid- term improvements to the existing Plant serving Wilsonville and Sherwood, that information is scattered throughout the larger document, and is therefore not as easy to follow as would be a slimmer document targeted on the current Wilsonville Plant.
City staff will be moving forward with preparation of a “mini” Master Plan just for the existing plant, which will incorporate appropriate information from the current document, plus additional targeted information. The current 2015 Update document will remain available on this web page (see below). Please watch this web page for updates.
